Registration for The Clay Dunagan, MD, MS, Annual Patient Safety & Quality Symposium is open. This year’s theme is “Unlocking Artificial Intelligence to Improve Patient Care.” The Symposium is jointly provided by Barnes-Jewish Hospital, WashU Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Additional funding is provided by BJC Healthcare and The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

As artificial intelligence (AI) emerges in the health care realm, it’s important to stay focused on the ultimate goals of maximizing patient outcomes and improving quality of care. How AI is used to advance and support health care is crucial to maintaining patient-centered care.

This year’s Symposium will:

  • Define artificial intelligence (AI) and how it has and can be applied in health care.
  • Review advantages and concerns for use of AI to support health care teams and processes.
  • Identify and apply methods that equip leaders and employees to work with negative people and manage stress.
